Level of Knowledge, Unmet Needs, and Barriers of Service Delivery
for People with Neurological Disorders and Their Families
The study has been approved by Institutional Review Board of Oklahoma State University on 02/02/2021 (IRB-21-58).
Dr. Sabiha Parveen (Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Oklahoma State University) is currently recruiting participants with different neurological disorders (including ALS, MS, PD, and stroke) to understand the unmet needs and barriers of service delivery. Please see below for more details.
- You are invited to participate in an online research study about level of knowledge, unmet needs, and barriers of service delivery for people with chronic neurological disorders including Huntington’s Disease (HD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS), different forms of Parkinson disease (PD), and family members of people with neurological disorders.
- You are eligible to participate if you are a person with a diagnosis of a neurological disorder including HD, ALS, MS, PD related forms, a family member or friend of a person with neurological disorder such as ALS, MS, HD, or different forms of PD, or a healthcare professional working with clients with neurological disorders.
- You will complete online surveys and/or an online/phone interviews that will take approximately take 45-60 minutes.
- You may prefer not to answer or discontinue the survey and/or the interview at any point in the study.
- Your participation in this research is voluntary. There is no penalty for refusal to participate, and you are free to withdraw your consent and participation in this project at any time.
